Pretty good, but...

FAR too repetitive. I like the guitar, it's well-made, but...

(a) Too repetitive.
(b) Not much of a beginning.
(c) No real end.

Genre-specific issue(s):

FAR too strong drumline.
FAR too quick pace.

It's a good song. I don't think it should be ambient though, I'd put it under misc.

9/10 for song overall, -2 for the errors, -1 for the length.

Ponoichi responds:

Its repetitive because I plan to put words to it later on. (Cuz lets face it, noone cares when its repetitive if it has words.) Same goes for the length.

I would call it...

Ambient/Techno. It's more techno-y in the middle, but it definitely has an ambient feel. I'd definitely stick with your own style, this is pretty darn good! ^_^

Now, things I'd improve on.
1) Mixing. I couldn't even hear the bass unless I tried really hard.
2) Endings/Beginnings. This basically is a loop, if you cut out the fade in/out.

Other than that, I got nothing. Good damn job.

Hi, Thanx!
I allways try to create songs originaly! =)

I know the bass is weak but, it's kind of ment to be that way, like a lite tune..
Endings and beginnings: I could make them fade out, i agree, i'll see what i end up with ;)

Thanx for your rewiev and the 9, these things makes music! =)

Good, but...

It's good. I just wish it could (a) be extended a bit, and that (b) the instruments weren't so... eh. I know it's supposed to be 8-bit, but... It's too whiny, no bass to speak of, and the sine wave hurts my ears. >.< I'd get some better 8-bit instruments, or make it slightly less whiny...

Enjoyable, but...

I'll have to be honest. It's good, and the tune is peaceful, it definitely describes what the title says. Only one problem. It doesn't really have any variety in it. It's the same thing, all the way until about 2:25. Then that one variance ends. :| It's extremely repetitive, and while it works for video game music, I can't help but think that it could be improved...

Perfect.

I have to say that I agree with the first thing Sanity said.

You need to put out an album. I know that I, for one, would buy it. It would likely get you a nice chunk of money towards college/your future in general if you did it, because I can't see you NOT selling a ton of copies of it, what you make is incredible.

Hope to see more of your genius around here!

'ello again.

Good to see more of your work. I like the idea, love everything... except for the fuzz in the background. It sounds more like white noise on a bass than anything else. I'd say everything else is perfect, just needs to be lengthened... even like, around 30 seconds would be a good loop for me. (Though longer is always better xD Keeps it from getting boring.) I would equalize that bass to be softer though, MUCH softer. It muddies the whole thing otherwise. :\

Well, hope this helps - see you around, I'm definitely going to check for more of your stuff.

Love it.

Seriously. I know you've heard this many times before, but... you have serious talent. I LOVE how the music opens up, like you had said. Love the effect you use there, as well as the end of that intro-ish opening, also again in the "wave" part starting at 3:42. You hear it best at 5:20 and 5:50. What was that effect? I'd really like to get a .wav of that somewhere, I can think of a bunch of ways to use it.

Either way. Genius, as usual. Pure genius. Keep making this stuff, please!

Ok, but not great.

Before people knock me for rating this badly, hear me out.

Though this is not the worst video game song I've heard for a boss, it is DEFINITELY not the best for several reasons.

1) Not much of an intro. Basically just a fade-in of a crash cymbal.
2) Very simple beat and tune. The beat is basic and constantly used. I don't have as much of a complaint on the beat because it has those more interesting quick beats every once in a while. The tune, however, is almost stock. It's simple. It's generic. The baseline sounds almost exactly like the same note repeated and going up a fifth for a second every measure's worth, either that or a broken chord going up and down continuously. I like how there are constant key changes, but still... I do have to admit though, even if it is overly simple, it does sound pretty good.
3) The loop is almost nonexistent. I hear an attempt at one, but it sounds (no offense) like there was almost no real effort at making one.

Conclusion: Though it sounds good, and has its moments, it just doesn't quite seem like something that I'd actually see in a good game. Again, it's ok, but not great.

Electronic/ambient artist. I started making music more than random scribblings in the fall of 2010, around the end of November. I think I've come a long way since then!
